For 35 years the Port St. Lucie Business Women have supported the successes of fellow St. Lucie County business women. What began as an informal gathering of four friends in the banking field who periodically met for lunch to discuss their careers has evolved into a professional women's organization that, in addition to networking and fostering business relationships, has awarded tens of thousands of dollars in grants and scholarships to local organizations and women. The organization has more than doubled from its 21 charter members in 1980.
As an independent entity, separate from any national or international organization, the Port St. Lucie Business Women is able to set forth its own agenda and its own goals.
The membership meets regularly to review the progress and achievements of the committees or learn from guest speakers, and to enjoy a professional fellowship over lunch. Meetings are held on the first and third Thursday at Tutto Fresco in St. Lucie West.
Before submitting a membership application, those who are interested in joining the Port St. Lucie Business Women must attend two meetings. For more information contact Membership Chair Donna DeMarchi.
